JD Williams, the UK’s leading direct home shopping company, announced last month that it has appointed us, Y&R London, its lead creative agency. We were tasked to start work with immediate effect on the 2017 branding and advertising campaign, and ten weeks later our first piece of work has gone live.
Our first campaign “Spring Into Summer” launches the new Spring collection and stars brand ambassador Lorraine Kelly and other models leaping into shot against seasonally themed walls of flowers. The bold and bright campaign features JD Williams’ spring clothing, accessories and homeware, showcased across TV, print, digital and social media.
Beth Lowry, Creative Director at N Brown Group which owns JD Williams, said: “Spring Into Summer is a real step change for JD Williams. Our aim was to give our brand a new attitude and energy that reflects the optimistic mind-set of our 45+ target audience. This is also our first ever campaign to feature cross-category products, to present JD Williams as a brand for fashion, home and life: a direction we’ll be moving into more in the near future.”
Jon Sharpe, our very own CEO said: “We’re incredibly proud of our first campaign for JD Williams since December’s pitch win. It was an extremely quick turnaround project, but the creative is truly beautiful with the flexibility to enable JD Williams to present a coherent campaign story across traditional and new media channels.”
“Spring Into Summer” is the first part of the SS17 collection, with the Summer campaign coming soon.
