LONDON (April 5, 2019) – VMLY&R announced today the appointment of Justin Pahl as CEO of VMLY&R London. Pahl will report to VMLY&R Europe President, Andrew Dimitriou.
In this new role, Pahl will be responsible for expanding VMLY&R’s brand experience agency footprint and operations across the UK market, focusing on growing capabilities to deliver a fully integrated creative and digital offering to create connected brands.

Pahl joins from Abbott Mead Vickers (AMV) BBDO, where he has held various leadership positions over the past ten years. Most recently he served as Group Chairman, spearheading the integration of new agency capabilities and practices including partnerships, consulting, and platform integration. Under his leadership, AMV BBDO was named the 2nd most awarded agency in the world at the Cannes Lions Festival in 2018 and maintained its position at the top of the Campaign UK billings table. AMV BBDO has ranked among Campaign’s Top Ten Places to Work.
Pahl first joined AMV BBDO in 2008 to oversee Aviva and Walkers, including the Walkers ‘Sandwich’ campaign that earned the Cannes Lions Effectiveness Grand Prix in 2011. He has also led the BT account for the past eight years. Pahl was appointed to the AMV BBDO management team in 2012 as Head of Account Management and went on to become Managing Partner in 2015 and MD in 2016.

Originally from Brisbane, Australia he worked at FCB in Sydney before making the jump to Banks Hoggins O’Shea/FCB in London where he spent six years. A move to Fallon saw him develop awardwinning campaigns for Skoda and More Th>n Insurance before joining Lowe in a European role on Unilever’s Rexona brand.
Pahl holds a Bachelor of Business Marketing from the Queensland University of Technology. He has been based in London for twenty years where he lives with his wife and two young children. Transition timings are currently in discussion.
